Project Description

University of Michigan School of Education – Teaching Works

Teaching Works has both an inward and outward focus, serving the UM community as well as contributing to national discourse. The intent of the renovation was to transform an outdated office suite into a multi-facet technology learning environment to meet the needs of program faculty and staff, as well as visitors. Spaces include a welcoming reception hall, private and open office workstations, technology teaming center, conference rooms and informal gathering areas, kitchenette/lounge, and support areas.

The design created an open, airy, well-lit, and inviting space that fosters collaborative learning. The color palette is mixed with splashes of color to add vibrancy to the space and natural wood to give it warmth.
